ABSOLUTELY CRAPPING MYSELF

I've always tried to not do things by half. So, when I wanted to ask my girlfriend to marry me last August, I knew a waiter bringing her a lobster with a ring up its arse in a fancy schmancy restaurant was not going to cut it.

Waterloo Station is a significant place for my girlfriend and I, so I knew I wanted it to feature. But how? And then I remembered this MAHOOSIVE ADVERTISING SCREEN.

It measures 40 metres across and is the largest indoor screen in the UK. I contacted JCDecaux about the possibility of hiring the screen for the my proposal. They responded with a quote that may as well have been one hundred kerjillion pounds. So, I did what any annoying little sod would do and beg them...a lot.

And finally, huzzah! I managed to get the screen. My message was on a 20 second loop for 30 minutes. With the help of her devious friends, we managed to time it perfectly – she looks up for the very first loop. (She is the beautiful blonde in the blue skirt who is oblivious to the guy on one knee behind her)

Oh and she said yes...eventually...

Big big thanks to the lovely team at JCDecaux again!
